Hello Flynn!

Hello Flynn!

Hello Flynn!

It might be a little late, but I really want you all to meet our beautiful little baby boy Flynn! I can’t believe that he’s going to be eight months already by tomorrow… But let’s take a look back to his first days:

Here’s the very first picture that they took at the hospital, just some minutes after birth. I’m sorry about the quality, but it’s just a photo of a printout. But I still think it’s really cute:

Hello Flynn!

Isn’t he just the cutest little baby ever? I’m really happy that everything went fine with his birth and that he’s perfectly healthy.

Hello Flynn!

He seemed so small in comparison to all the other babies at the hospital. Most of them were girls and they all had so much dark hair. Therefore, Flynn really stood out of all newborn babies. Just look how he completely gets lost in the clothes that are way too big for him yet.

Hello Flynn!

Fresh mom Raya and Baby Flynn sleeping (he was sleeping a lot for his first days!) just 15 hours after birth. I look so pale because I didn’t get any real sleep for the last 36 hours >.<. And it didn’t get any better the following night, but I’ll tell you more about all that soon.

Hello Flynn!

I felt so proud on that day like I’ve never felt before. It’s like I did the most awesome thing in my life, (almost) all by myself. Up to the last minute, I expected the worst to happen. I didn’t wish to have any problems of course, but I just knew my luck. I totally couldn’t believe that everything just happens without any problems, but aside from some minor issues with me in the last weeks of pregnancy, I was lucky after all.

On the other hand, I also felt incredibly overwhelmed by this new situation. I really loved him from the beginning, but I was, even more, anxious to hurt him or to do something wrong. He was just soooo small and fragile. It was especially worse when I was all alone at the hospital in the nights and mornings. I knew that I could always ask the doctors and nurses for help, they were really nice, but they always seemed very busy. I really appreciate the trust they seem to have in new mothers, but it just felt like: “Here’s your baby, have fun with it – bye”.

Hello Flynn!

It took some time for me to finally gather the confidence to take care of this small helpless bundle without all those unneeded worries and feel like a real mother to Flynn. But in the end, I think this is just something every mother has to grow into with their first child.

Hello Flynn!

I love you, my little Flynnby!

I’ll continue my story and tell you more about the birth and first days with Flynn soon ^.^!
