11 Sep fashion for nails
Blue is one of my favorite colors for nail polishes. Needless to say, right next to mint, turquoise or purple just to name a few ^_^°. And then I rather prefer the more shimmering or metallic kind of shades over matte colors.
I can’t really remember when I bought this nail polish… I can just say for sure that it was 2013 or earlier because it also appears on a photo of my whole nail polish collection, which I took back in June 2013. And I bought it at Douglas, but that’s about all I can remember. But even now, 4 years later, it still works fine.
“fashion for nails” (#384.50) by ANNY is a metallic light blue colored nail polish. If I remember correctly, it was a special limited edition, but since it was such a long time ago, I can’t say that for sure. Unfortunately, either way, it was discontinued and isn’t available anymore, which is a pity, because it’s such a nice and unique color.
I really love the shade of color, but also the metallic finish. It’s not as shiny as a “mirror nails” color, but it still reflects the light beautifully.
As you can see on the bottle, they recommend using this nail polish without a top coat. I can’t say for sure why, but precisely because I’m the rebel that I am I surely used a top coat (Insta-Dri by Sally Hansen, just the best top coat I ever tried and the only one I’ve used in the last 3 years). In my opinion, it doesn’t make any difference other than making it maybe even a bit shinier, more long-lasting (especially important with darker and/or metallic colors) and it dries so much quicker than without using it.
In the end, I wish they hadn’t discontinued it. While I still have some polish left in my bottle, I know that one day it’ll either be empty or dried up ;_;. Unfortunately, I haven’t found any other brand that offers a similar color, yet… Do you know of any good alternative?
